Reflections on the August 31st Zoom With the Bowler Hat Farmer

Here is our report on the TPC Gardening and Non GMO Foods Communal Gathering Zoom call with the Bowler Hat Farmer, August 31, 2025

We had members present from Alaska, Florida, California, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Texas, The Netherlands, Finland, South Africa, Germany, Portugal, Eastern Canada, Western Canada, and the Bowler Hat Farmer from the UK.

There was lots of great information and ideas shared from all the different places with many consistent themes.

Soil Health worldwide needs to be restored for the future of farming, for the health and well being of Humanity and the health of all eco systems.

For many years the people have been programmed to believe that it is no longer possible to produce enough healthy food for the current population without the use of commercial farming practices and in particular, the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides.

There is now a device available that measures the nutritional value of food, which makes us able to prove that food produced through natural farming methods is more nutritious.

We can now prove that the soil biome can be restored to proper fertility everywhere. This can be done affordably and efficiently with natural farming practices. Corporations and Governments will not support this without public pressure. It is critical that we raise awareness about this issue because the worldwide soil biome is being destroyed by commercial farming practices while small scale farmers are being marginalized by government and corporate policies. There is a strong sense of urgency as there is a worldwide program to eliminate food sovereignty for the people and make us all so dependent that we have to eat whatever they make available. Commercially produced food is substandard because corporations prioritize profit over nutrition and flavour is chemically enhanced with chemicals, with little consideration for long term health effects.

Korean Natural Farming was discussed as an important solution, not just for soil restoration, better food, physical well being and for spiritual well being worldwide. Healthy gardens have a higher energetic vibration. Pure KNF Hawaii was mentioned as an excellent source of information for this knowledge.

Electroculture was discussed as a method that has shown promising results.

Teaching the public, especially youth and children about the value of small scale naturally farmed local food is a big priority. Gardening in the schools was suggested for hands on learning and so children can eat food they grew themselves.

Encouraging people to avoid purchasing their food at corporate supermarkets and supporting local growers as much as possible was discussed. The public needs to be made aware of the price fixing in supermarkets that results in the over pricing of some products while produce is under priced, to undercut local producers. This has been done so long that people have no idea what food should actually cost. People are so accustomed to poor quality food that they don’t know what healthy food tastes like. Naturally farmed food is more nutritious, so less of it is required to nourish the body.

Too many people, especially young people, don’t know where their food comes from, don’t know how it is produced and they don’t know how to grow natural produce or how to cook it. There needs to be more opportunities for the public to learn about natural farming.

Land sharing and volunteer experiences on farms was discussed with woofers and young agrarians being mentioned as examples. This creates hands on learning experience, especially for young people at little or no cost.

Farmers who are in the process of transitioning and farmers who have already transitioned to natural farming practices should be supported by their local governments and by the public.

In addition to contacting local governments, the public should be encouraged to reach out to local farmers and tell them as consumers that they want to have naturally farmed food available for purchase. The public should be taught the value of learning about farms by contacting farmers and asking to go see farms in person.

Securing old knowledge by spending time with farmers is essential. Seed saving, especially the old heritage varieties, growing heritage plants and avoiding genetically modified seeds is critical for the continuation of healthy food varieties. Commercial growers tend to focus on results with a need to make profits. This results in more use of Genetically modified seed varieties. Commercial farm operations use their land inefficiently with less tons of food per acre being produced. Natural small scale farming produces more food per acre.

Wild grown foods, especially fruits, nuts and berries were traditionally planted by farmers along the edges of fields to make food available for future generations. People need to re learn how to recognize food in the wild and know how to collect and preserve it. People need to learn old knowledge about home canning and food preservation.

The importance of free water and water sovereignty was brought up. The Bowler Hat Farmer has located multiple springs across the UK where people can collect fresh living water. Many places in North America have glacial water. Public access to free living water needs to be a priority. Water should be free and not something that has to be paid for, whether through municipal taxes or by being purchased in bottles at the supermarket. The water that comes out of our taps is substandard and treated with chemicals that have no benefit to the people.

For people living in urban areas it is important and beneficial to grow small food gardens. The idea of green roofs that grow food in cities was mentioned.

To help the people find where they can access farm fresh natural food in the UK, The Bowler Hat Farmer has developed an online Food Finders Hub that has listings of natural food producers. The Food Finders Hub is designed so that it can have listings added from other countries as an information resource for natural food resources worldwide. The Food Finders Hub can be found on The Bowler Hat Farmer’s website. There is an an active link in the flower of life at the bottom of the opening page of the New Blueprint for Humanity website.
